Child Health?

One of my cousin's daughter is just 12. For her age she has quite large breas*ts - probably a B cup.

Does she need to start wearing a bra already or should we wait till a 'proper' age of 14? Right now she doesnt wear one and her breas*ts seem to be too obviously exposed and moving when she runs/walks?

Does it have to do anything with her mother - she is a large woman? or is she abnormal and should we take her to the doctor for a check up?|||I got my first one at eleven. Everyone else had one. They would slap my back and rub to determine if I was "wearing" yet. How embarrassing! If she is developed enough to be guessed at a B Cup, she certainly is a well-endowed twelve year old. It is formally referred to medically as precocious puberty. See the source below for more information. It may be time to schedule an appointment with a gynecologist for discussion on maturation, mensis, etc...

Ask her if she is interested in a sports bra...they are much more comfortable than those old "hook" types, they support well, and are less conspicuous than the standard "stay" type.

See the last source shown for online examples of upper frontal support devices...|||She should have already been wearing a bra. There is no "proper" age for wearing a bra, you get them when you NEED them. If I waited until I was 14 for a bra my breasts would reach my ankles by now. I was in a C cup by the time I was 12. There is NOTHING abnormal about her. Some girls are simply BIGGER than others...obviously YOU have a jealous streak. There is no NEED for her to have a check up with the doctor as there is NOTHING medically wrong with her. Good Grief just how UNDEREDUCATED can you be? Have you always been intellectually challenged?|||it is typically familial and hormone induced

i think she should start wearing bra else, people will take advantage!!

she should also be councelled for a proper diet so that she will not become too fat at an early age.|||These days children are developing a lot earlier than when we were kids. It would be better to start her wearing a bra now, she probably will get bigger since she isn't even half way finished growing. A good sports bra might be good starting out because of the wider straps. Don't think development is abnormal, trust me its not. I have family members who started blossoming at 10! I don't know if her mothers size has anything to do with it...I always laugh about the kids eating all this "fast grown" food injected with this "super growth" stuff thus causing our kids to blossom early!|||there is no right age to wear bras. earlier the better specially for well developed breasts.daughters do go after mothers as they are genetically related.there seems no reason to take her to a doctor.|||She is completely normal and does not need to see a doctor. What she does need is a properly fitted bra (she'll need to be measured, don't just pick one off the rack). That will alleviate alot of her discomfort.

While you're at it, better pick up some deodorant. That's when they start to smell too. Ah, hormones!
