Can a mother who is pregnant with her second child get health ins. for her 18 month old son?

My daughter is being told an ins. company will not insure the child of a pregnant mother. This makes noooo since to me at all and I'm wondering if my daughter misunderstood.|||Something is being misunderstood because the mother being pregnant has nothing to do with insurance on a child. They can say they won't cover the pregnancy or if she doesn't have her son already added they can deny her and the child both for their own reasons but they can't say it is because of the mother being pregnant. Never heard of such a thing. Where is she trying to get it through?|||they may not isnure the baby she is carrying til its born, but her other kids should be covered by her family health insurance.
